Marionette puppet workshop for kids ages 8-18!

Join us for Thursdays in April ( 4, 11, 18, 25) from 3:30-5:30pm at the Philmont Community Center to learn how to make simple and complex marionettes out of fabric and wool. Each class we will get to practice manipulating different kinds of marionettes, learning how to make them jump, lay down, greet each other and play. We will enact a short fable every session to warm up our puppeteering skills and then get to puppet building. Each participant will be able to take home their own finished puppet at the end of the workshop series. We will have a nutritious snack each week as well! The cost to participate is a sliding scale of $0-$200 for four sessions and all materials. Please fill out a contact and registration form for your child and make all checks out to Free Columbia.
