Color, Cold Wax and Block Prints — A summer painting course

Often, we learn life lessons by working artistically. By experiencing a gesture out in the world, I see my gesture more clearly. Cold wax is a layered medium that often reveals what language the previous layers have spoken. Finding the assistance of those previous layers is exciting and often supportive.
In this workshop we will at first create block prints and then unite them into the cold wax and color. Layering over them, we may lose them, only to find them revealed later.
The technique is supportive and forgiving, very messy but not smelly.
